My Mission

I aspire to inspire, to teach and learn everyday with grace. My goal is to seek the highest form of honor, light, love and joy by being a source of these things to others. I hope to utilize my divinely-given talents and live my faith everyday.

Marissa hails from St. Louis, MO and began dancing at the age of two. Her love of the art form and passion for entertaining was nurtured by Janet Burghart, Bridget Armstrong and Gretchen Burghart-Bice of Jan's Dance Studio, where she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, pointe and musical theatre for fifteen years and danced competitively for twelve years.

Some of Marissa's greatest achievements are participating in the River North Dance Chicago Summer Program, the Joffrey Ballet School Summer Program in New York City, and performing under the direction of Mandy Moore at DancerPalooza in Long Beach California. She was also a proud member of her high school dance team and served as captain her senior year. Marissa's true pride, however, lies in the students she taught at her home studio.

Marissa is blessed to be able to continue her dance education at Oklahoma City University under the direction of Jo Rowan. She will graduate in May 2022 with her Bachelor of Science Degree in American Dance Pedagogy. While attending OCU, Marissa has immersed herself in dance technique, arts management, teaching, voice and acting courses. She is beyond thankful for her colligate experience and looks forward to the next chapter in her life!
